2 Corinthians 16 verse 2
On every Lord’s day each of you should put aside some amount of money in relation to what you have earned and save it for this offering’.

This principle of Paul’s is still the basic principle by which many Christian believers give what we usually call ‘freewill offerings’ to support the Lord’s work in a local church such as Abbots Cross.
The ways in which the Lord’s work in Abbots Cross is supported are as follows:-

Freewill offerings given and or collected in our Sunday services. Some people still prefer to give their offering in cash with or without the use of envelopes. Cheques may also be given.
Members or regular attenders can ask for numbered church envelopes, while they are designed for weekly use, they can be used in a way which is convenient for you.

Bank transfer. In recent years some people have now chosen to give their offering using a regular bank transfer and this is a very convenient method for those who do so as it is for the Church Treasurer to administer. The Church bank details are -
ACCOUNT NAME: Christ Church Congregational Church
ACCOUNT NUMBER: 60308749.
SORT CODE: 95-01-21

Building Fund. For those who would like to help with the upkeep of our church buildings we have a separate bank account -

Gift Aid. A system for people who are tax payers whereby the Church can ‘reclaim’ a proportion of your tax.
