”And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him”

Dear Friends,

Thank you for all your support in so many ways over the past year, as I labour for the Lord in West Fermanagh. It has been so evident that God’s people are upholding me in the place of prayer. Reflecting over this past year I have much to praise and thank God for.

GOD’S PROTECTION…. As I have travelled many miles, both in Northern Ireland and further afield to the Philippines, and as I have knocked door’s, been involved in summer camps, school assemblies, children and adult meetings, God’s hand has been upon me, and I can honestly say that each step I have taken my Saviour had truly gone before me.

GOD’S PROMISE… ”Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it”. In April, I was joined by Mrs Esther Gillanders for a 2 week ‘Gospel Mission’ in Churchill, we really sensed that God was moving in hearts and lives, and we rejoiced in a soul coming to the Lord a few months after the mission had ended, praise God His timing is perfect, and our labour is not in vain. In May I stepped out in faith as I organised ‘Fit 4 Life’, this was a new venture. Not only did God answer prayer regarding the weather giving us 4 glorious Monday evenings, but ladies came from all denomination, both saved and unsaved. Plans and speakers are already in place for May 2017, what a Faithful God I serve.

I continue to be blessed and encouraged by the ladies who come to my monthly coffee morning in Kinawley, and also the precious souls who come to the ‘Good News’ club in Tabaugh, I thank God for clear evidence of fruit in these young lives.

Abbots Cross Team – Philippines

GOD’S PLAN…I believe that God has a perfect plan for each of our lives. And as I went out with a team from Abbots Cross Congregational church to work with Helping Hands Healing Hearts Ministries in the Philippines for two weeks in the summer; I honestly never envisaged the plan that God would have for my life, just five months after I returned. It was a trip that was going to change me, and I praise God for the work He did in my heart during that time. Jeremiah 29:11 is a verse which is very precious to me, and even more so in recent months. God has clearly shown me, through His Word and circumstances that I was to return to the Philippines.

w1216_02I have been granted a two-month sabbatical from 5th Dec – 4th Feb. I will be living in Olongapo City with Missionaries Alan & Rachel Kirk, and their two boys, Benjamin & Joshua, working alongside Rachel in the Children’s Recovery Unit. I am so thankful to God for giving me this privilege of serving Him with an amazing God centred ministry, and I am excited to see what God will do in and through me.

w1216_03PLEASE PRAY… that I will know God’s protection, strength and wisdom. That I will reflect Jesus and bring Glory and Honour to His name, in all that I do and say. I am looking forward to seeing this amazing and very special girl called Melanie: she was born with no hands, feet or mouth; she loves the Lord and is truly an inspiration to all who meet her.

I trust and pray that amidst the busyness of this season that we will never lose the wonder and hope that came to earth that first Christmas morning. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, may we fall at His feet and worship Him.

Love in Christ…… Heather x
